Salesforce just cut 133 more jobs. Its AI product crossed $1B. The filings don't mention AI.

Salesforce filed its third WARN notice of 2026 on August 5.

133 roles. 59 in Washington. 74 in San Francisco. Effective October 5.

This brings the 2026 total to roughly 1,160 jobs cut against a workforce of 80,000+.

The WARN filings say nothing about AI.

But CEO Marc Benioff has spent the past year crediting AI tools for efficiency gains. And Agentforce — the AI agent product replacing human support teams — just crossed $1 billion in annualized revenue.

Salesforce built the tool that replaces workers. Then used that tool to justify replacing its own workers. And won't say so on the record.

The cuts aren't limited to back-office staff. The Washington filing lists software engineers, an SVP of software engineering, a product director, and a VP of sustainability. This isn't routine trimming. It's rewiring.

Meanwhile the stock is down 27% this year. The market calls it the "SaaSpocalypse" — the fear that AI will hollow out subscription software.

Salesforce's response: build the AI, sell the AI, cut the people building the AI, and never mention AI in the layoff paperwork.
